Medallions Unlimited was begun as a partnership between Waymer
and Joyce Edwards and Danny and Janice Brown,
all of us in recovery. For various reasons,
mostly health, in the summer of 1998 Danny
sold his share to his wife and I sold my
share to Joyce, and by the end of the year
Janice had sold her share to Joyce. Danny
and Janice are dear friends and their participation
is sorely missed.
So now
Joyce owns the outfit lock, stock and barrel
while I serve as consultant, mostly tending
to the Internet stuff. We are a home-based
business dealing primarily with mail orders
with some assist from this Web site. She
and I are both retired (disabled). For a
while we took our products to conferences
and conventions but eventually our health
forced us to give that up.
One reason we started Medallions Unlimited
was to supplement our income, of course.
More than that, having served on steering
committees we are keenly aware from our own
experience of the financial shortfall many
Groups must deal with daily. Our goal was
to provide the desire, month and year birthday
chips that have come to mean so much to those
of us in recovery at a price we felt any
small group or individual could afford. That
and we became unhappy with the sobriety medallion
marketplace.
It's
ridiculous for those bigger distributors
to charge the prices they do, especially
to A.A. people. We know for a fact what this
product costs wholesale and their profit
margin is much too high. Think we're exaggerating?
Check around, compare our prices. You might
get unhappy too.
So we decided to do something about it. As
if our everyday low prices weren't bargain enough, check this out: Groups can get a *Quantity Discount and Free Shipping. If you buy for groups or if your group
is on a limited budget you should check this
out. Or print a copy of our printer friendly Price List with an Order Form and look it over at your leisure. Our total
price package may surprise you.
* Minimum Purchase Required (see details).
We are located in beautiful Lubbock, Texas, world renowned as the home town of Buddy Holly and featuring such attractions as the Lubbock Lake Site, Texas Tech University, Lubbock Christian University, the Ranching Heritage Center and much more. Lubbock is rapidly gaining
fame in such areas as heart and cancer research and the friendliness and hospitality of
West Texas people can't be beat. Lubbock
is home each year to the Caprock Convention where alcoholics and their families gather
to hear great speakers, enjoy good food (that's
the part I like), for the fellowship and
to participate in such events as golf and
gin tournaments. The Caprock is typically
attended by 500+ registered participants.
Lubbock, Texas, a great place to live and
to visit. If you are going to be in town
get in touch. We'll be happy to show you
around and maybe even take in a meeting.
You can "savor the flavor" of Lubbock
A.A.
